Imran Kamal – Director

Imran is a Chartered Accountant and Business Development Specialist. He provides practical business advice to a wide range of clients.

Imran holds two degrees - a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Financial Management (B.A) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand (ICANZ) and holds a Certificate of Public Practice (C.P.P). He is also Chartered Accountant of Fiji (C.A – Fiji) and a Certified Practicing Accountant of Australia (CPA - Australia).

Imran is an experienced practitioner with a wide range of specialist skills, which include taxation, financial and management accounting, business consultancy, business restructuring, business planning, implementation of accounting systems, advising on buying and selling businesses, share valuations, budgeting, due diligence and personal financial planning.

Imran’s career has always been in public practice. Imran started his career with Deloittes, where he was a senior Accountant/Auditor. He later joined a medium-sized accounting practice where he was a Partner/Director for seven years.

Imran has acted for a number of clients as their financial controller and advisor. He also has commercial business experience through owning and managing two other businesses.

Imran is a Certified MYOB Accounting Software Consultant. He assesses and advises clients on their accounting software requirements and provides recommendations on the solution most suitable for their business. Imran has extensive knowledge of a wide range of other accounting software packages and is proficient in the use of most in-house accounting software packages.

Imran’s extensive experience and qualifications reflects his desire to stay in touch with the latest technical and informational developments. He constantly seeks to increase his skills and knowledge, enabling him to provide clients with the best possible business advice.

Nazeema Kamal - Associate

Nazeema joined Accountants First from a management background in corporate services. Nazeema has vast experience in accounting,  tax planning, business structure and is reponsible for the general practice management including business development, marketing, client services, practice accounts, property management, human resource management, training, systems and process development and project management.

Patricia joined Accountants First after working in many accounting practices. Patricia started her career in Auckland where she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours- Acctg). Patricia's specialty is Financial Accounting Taxation  If there is a problem within your accounting systems Patricia will provide the solution. Patricia also has vast experience in Budgeting and Cashflow Management, Auditing and Taxation Planning.

Jeeten Gandhi - Client Services Manager

Jeeten has worked at Accountants First since finishing his studies at Victoria University of Wellington, where he obtained a Bachelors of Commerce and Administration in Accountancy and Commercial Law.  Jeeten is pleased to be furthering his CA career at Accountants First and has gathered sound knowledge working in compliance accounting within our firm, and has vast knowledge in Tax compliance issues and structures. Jeeten hopes to develop in the areas of providing business advice to SME's. Jeeten is also a Xero Accounting Software Certified Advisor.

Mohammed Mazhar - Client Services Manager

Mohammed Mazhar or Mazhar as we call him, holds a NZ Diploma in Business and Diploma in Accounting. Mazhar has vast experience in compliance work and is a specialist in PAYE and GST compliance.  Mazhar advises a number of key clients, with accounting and taxation obligations.

Michelle is the smile at reception and on the end of the phone. Michelle comes to us with a solid service background in a Chartered Accountancy Practice and brings with her a great phone manner and customer service skills.
